Charging an electric car safely

Charging an electric car safely
  1. Check that the connector and charging equipment suit the vehicle. Inspect cable and plug for damage before connecting; follow both the vehicle and charge-point instructions, including the correct stopping and unlocking sequence.
  2. Never use visibly damaged charging equipment or improvise a repair. Keep clear, notify the operator and use another safe point. High-voltage components are not learner maintenance tasks.
  3. Route the cable to avoid trip hazards and obstruction. Charging permission does not cancel parking signs or site rules. Monitor the session, stop it properly and leave the space when required.
