Signs and road markings →Conditional straight-ahead passage for the indicated cycle users at red/amber; not for cars

Purpose and student action
Establish who must wait. Priority never permits creating a collision; check approaching road users.
Read · decide · act
- Read the exact sign: give way, STOP, priority road or narrow-passage priority are different.
- Scan both sides, pedestrians, cycles and rail vehicles before entering.
- Enter only when you can clear the junction; priority is not permission to force a collision.
