Lights and dashboard warnings
  1. Identify dipped beam, main beam, position lights, indicators, hazards and fog lights before driving. Dashboard symbols and automatic settings vary: consult the handbook.
  2. Use dipped beam at night and when required by visibility conditions. Do not dazzle others with main beam. Daytime running lights may leave rear lights off.
  3. Rear fog lights are required in fog or snowfall reducing visibility below about 100 m and in heavy rain; switch them off when conditions improve. Indicators communicate intent, not priority.
