Hybrid and electric: READY, charging and safety
  1. A hybrid may be ready to move without engine sound. Read READY and the gear position; silence does not mean switched off.
  2. Regenerative braking recovers some energy but varies with battery state, temperature and settings. Keep the service brake available; assistance does not guarantee a stop.
  3. Park and switch off as instructed before connecting a compatible undamaged charging connector. Follow vehicle and charger instructions; do not force a locked cable.
  4. Do not touch orange high-voltage components or damaged charging parts. After impact, smoke or unusual heat, keep clear and contact emergency help if there is danger.

1 · READY is on, D selected, but the engine is silent.
2 · Regenerative braking feels weaker with a full battery.
3 · A charging cable is visibly damaged.
