Road-life decision workshop

Make one decision at a time. Learn from each result, retry mistakes and keep your completed training report.

  1. In a four-stroke engine the piston takes in air, compresses it, receives combustion force and expels exhaust. The crankshaft converts piston movement to rotation.
  2. The transmission and differential carry torque to the driven wheels. Engine RPM and road speed differ because the gear ratio changes.
  3. Oil reduces wear and coolant removes heat. Stop safely for a red oil-pressure or overheating warning and consult the vehicle handbook; never open a hot cooling system.

Understanding checks · 0 / 3

Complete every check correctly to master this lesson. Each applied question explains the consequence of your choice.

1 · What converts piston motion into rotation?
2 · A red oil-pressure warning remains on after starting. What do you do?
3 · Why can engine RPM rise while road speed stays nearly unchanged?
