Interactive car laboratory →- Walk around before entering: look for people, low obstacles, leaks and obvious tyre damage. Choose a safe loading position; secure loose objects.
- Adjust seat and head restraint, then mirrors, then belt. You must reach the pedals without stretching and see the instruments clearly.
- Know the brake, accelerator, parking brake, gear selector and demister before moving. Different vehicles place these controls differently.
- Keep the vehicle secured while starting. Read messages, check mirrors and the blind spot, signal when appropriate, then move only into a safe gap.
